A Caldwell County man was sentenced Monday to nearly six years in prison after being convicted of trafficking opiates, according to the District Attorney’s office.

Robert Curtis Jr., 58, of Granite Falls, had been arrested more than two years ago and charged with selling 100 doses of Hydrocodone. The charge dates back to June 2011, prosecutors said.

He was sentenced to between 70 and 84 months in prison, authorities said.
