$5,000-plus in frozen shrimp stolen from Fort Mill food shop

FORT MILL An employee with US Foods in Fort Mill reported to police Thursday that a shipment of frozen shrimp valued at $5,480 was missing.

A report from the York County Sheriff’s Office lists the theft as grand larceny. It states the employee told police that a trucker delivered a load of frozen shrimp Tuesday.

All deliveries are “scanned into the system” before being stored, the report states, yet employees later found eight cases of shrimp missing.

Police and employees do have surveillance video of a pallet being moved by floor jack to a truck, the report states.
