About 600 high school seniors are scheduled to receive diplomas Monday in midyear graduation ceremonies for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
Two commencement events are scheduled at Bojangles’ Coliseum – at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Motorists can expect heavier-than-usual traffic in the area before and after the events.
There will be no charge for parking at the arena, and no ticket is required for admission. Doors will open 45 minutes before each ceremony.
Schools graduating at 4:30 p.m. are Ardrey Kell, Cato Middle College, Butler, Garinger, Hawthorne, Independence, Myers Park, Performance Learning Center, Providence, Rocky River, South Mecklenburg, Turning Point Academy and Vance.
Schools graduating at 7:30 p.m. are East Mecklenburg, Harding University, Hopewell, Hough, Lincoln Heights Academy, Mallard Creek, Military & Global Leadership Academy, North Mecklenburg, Northwest School of the Arts, Olympic, Berry Academy, West Charlotte and West Mecklenburg.
