2 men rob Charlotte Hardee’s at gunpoint

Police are looking for two men who robbed a Hardee’s restaurant at gunpoint Monday morning in north Charlotte.

The robbery was reported about 5:30 a.m. at the Hardee’s on Sunset Road near Interstate 77.

According to police, two armed men entered the restaurant, pointed guns at the two employees, and demanded money. They took money and fled on foot, police say.

The men were wearing dark clothing and masks, similar to the bandits in a Sunday night robbery at a Pizza Hut in Charlotte’s Midtown area. But Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say it is too early to determine if the same men were involved.
