The Eagles face the winless Sabers in the middle game of a three-games-in-five-days stretch. Thursdays game was originally scheduled for Jan. 4, but was postponed after Barber-Scotia had several players stuck in the Northeast during a winter storm. Winthrop snapped a two-game losing streak by beating Liberty on Tuesday. Catawba College transfer Keon Moore leads the Eagles in scoring at 12.6 points per game. A five-game winning streak has the Wildcats within a half-game of Chattanooga at the top of the Southern Conference standings. The Bulldogs have been on a roll lately, winning three of their past four games. Davidson F DeMon Brooks has scored 21 or more points in three straight games and five of the past six, and leads the team in scoring at 18.5 points per game. Samford F Tim Williams is sixth in the conference in scoring (16.7 per game). The Wildcats are 8-1 all-time against the Bulldogs, and have won the past two meetings. B.K.
