Friday’s Featured Games

Victory Christian at United Faith, 7:30 p.m.: It’s Senior Night at Homecoming at United Faith and the Falcons are playing for a conference title. Victory Christian ended United Faith’s conference win streak of more than two years last month. The teams are tied for first place in the Southern Piedmont conference standings.

No. 6 West Charlotte at No. 1 Hough, 7:30 p.m.: The Lions jumped five spots in the poll after Monday’s big win over North Meck. The Vikings fell from No. 5 to No. 7. Hough (17-3, 11-0 MECKA 4A) beat Robinson 86-70 Wednesday. With a win against West Charlotte (15-5, 9-2) Friday, Hough will guarantee itself at least a share of the conference title.

No. 5 Berry at No. 14 Ardrey Kell, 7:30 p.m.: Berry (18-2, 11-0 SoMeck 8) can get a share of the conference championship with a win. Berry has won nine straight games. Ardrey Kell (16-5, 9-2) and No. 4 Olympic (19-2, 9-2) are two games back.

Charlotte Latin at Providence Day, 7:30 p.m.: The Chargers (21-3, 6-0 CISAA) can win the conference outright with a win at home against Latin (16-6, 3-2). Providence Day has won 12 straight games.

Myers Park vs. Independence, Grady Cole Center, 7:30 p.m.: Independence (11-9, 7-1 Southwestern 4A) had a slight lead on Butler (15-5, 8-2) and Myers Park (14-6, 6-3) before Thursday’s game with Porter Ridge. Wins on Thursday and Friday could give the Patriots some breathing room in the chase for the league title.
