‘The Healthcare Movie’

Health Care Justice-North Carolina will present “The Healthcare Movie” 6-7:30 p.m. in the Morrison Regional Library auditorium, 7015 Morrison Blvd. The 30-minute documentary examines the difference between the for-profit health care system and the single-payer Canadian health system. ‘Living life on purpose’

This group will meet for eight weeks and supports those who desire to discover meaning and zeal in their lives. Epilepsy Support Groups

Charlotte Epilepsy Support Groups – teen and adult – will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 in the third floor cancer conference room, Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, 200 Hawthorne Lane. Parent retreat

John Rosemond will host a two-day retreat 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 7-8, 1391-A E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia. This retreat will present love and leadership parenting principles and how they apply to specific behavior issues in children of all ages. This session will be limited to 12 people to ensure individual interaction. Cost is $580 per couple, $400 for a married parent attending without spouse and $290 for single unmarried parents.
