A cast member of CMT’s “Party Down South,” which was filmed in Murrells Inlet, S.C., last summer, was arrested on burglary charges in Louisiana Sunday morning.

Lyle Boudreaux, of Lafayette, L.A., was charged with burglary after police said he entered an unlocked car outside of a bar in Maurice, L.A., and stole a wallet from a purse in the passenger seat. Boudreaux then used the card to open a tab at another area bar, according to police.

“He took the credit cards out of the purse and a few boxes of cigarettes and left a whole bunch of trash on the ground,” said Maurice Police Chief Warren Rost.

Security footage outside of the first bar shows someone entering the unlocked vehicle and removing something, police said. A witness said he had seen a man place something on the roof of the first bar, and when police checked the roof, they found a stolen wallet, Rost said.

Rost said Boudreaux told the bartender the credit card belonged to his mother, but after police confronted Boudreaux he paid his $192 tab with cash.

“I got a funny feeling if we wouldn’t have been there, he would have tried to misuse the card,” Rost said.

The second bar was only a block away from the unlocked car, and Rost said Boudreaux walked there.

“This guy was not a rocket scientist,” Rost said.

Boudreaux was booked into the Vermilion Parish Jail early Sunday morning and is free on a $10,000 bond. Police do not have a date set for a court appearance yet, but Rost said the subpoena should be presented soon.

On Monday, Boudreaux tweeted “I apologize for my behavior over the weekend. I need to be, and will be, more responsible in the future.”

‘Party Down South’, which airs every Thursday on CMT at 10 p.m., features eight cast members aging from 21 to 33 years old, all from the Southeast but none from South Carolina. For about two months during the summer, filming crews and the show’s cast took up residence at King Krest in Murrells Inlet, an old waterfront home nestled on the marsh with screened-in porches and a dock.
