Lincoln deputies probe vehicle break-ins

Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a rash of vehicle break-ins this week in the eastern part of the county.

Deputies say thieves targeted unlocked vehicles parked at homes on Randleman Road, Fox Den Circle and in the 4300 to 4700 block of N.C. 27 East. Those homes are in the Iron Station area.

Victims reported losing credit cards, Social Security cards, cash, jewelry and prescription medication to the thieves.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 704-732-9050, Lincoln County Communications at 704-735-8202, or Crime Stoppers at 704-736-8909.
