A man who lost control of his car and crashed in North Charlotte on Feb. 6 died of his injuries Friday, police said early Saturday
Ravyan Adams, 28, of Charlotte, was driving east on Trailer Drive at high speeds about 12:30 a.m. Feb. 6, according to a release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. When the right tires of his 1993 Ford Crown Victoria went off the road, Adams over-corrected and lost control of the car, police said.
The car slid sideways, crossed into the other lane of traffic and ran off the road, the release said. Adams’ side door hit a large tree.
He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where police charged him with driving while impaired. He died at 4:49 p.m. Friday in the hospital from his injuries.
The crash is still under investigation, and police ask that anyone with information about it call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
