Three people have been arrested and police are seeking a fourth in connection with a string of break-ins at Rowan County stores last week, police say.
Granite Quarry-Faith police officials say the suspects were seeking cigarettes when they allegedly broke into the stores. Break-ins were reported in Salisbury, Granite Quarry and China Grove, according to Rowan County authorities.
In most cases, police said, the thieves shattered glass windows and grabbed cartons of cigarettes.
Charged in the case were Diamonte Denolan Crawford, 18, of Salisbury; Kendra Ciara Torrence, 26, of East Spencer; and Jacquavius Raquan Whisonant, 17, of Salisbury.
Police say they are looking for Dmari Bryant, 18, of Salisbury. Anyone with information about Bryant’s whereabouts or the break-in cases is asked to contact Granite Quarry-Faith police at 704-279-2952.
Investigators with the Granite Quarry-Faith police said they got help from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and police in East Spencer and Salisbury in making the arrests.
