Three people were injured in a pair of collisions involving school buses Tuesday morning in the Charlotte area.The first crash was in Union County. The N.C. Highway Patrol and Union County authorities said a bus and a car collided about 6:50 a.m. on New Town Road at Potter Road South. That is a short distance south of Wesley Chapel.None of the students aboard the bus was hurt, but the driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries described as non-life-threatening.Then about 9:45 a.m., a car and a Rowan-Salisbury Schools bus collided on Woodleaf Road in western Rowan County, according to the Highway Patrol.The driver of the car was taken to a Salisbury hospital with serious injuries. Six students aboard the bus complained of injuries, and medics treated one of those students.The bus was carrying 28 students and several parent chaperones from Woodleaf Elementary School to see a play.Both collisions remain under investigation, authorities said.
