Carolina Panthers Steve Smith was one of hundreds of guests turned up to honor the legacy of Hope Stout at this year's 11th annual Celebration of Hope Gala at Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge, a fundraiser for the March Forth with Hope Foundation. HopeÕs parents, Shelby and Stuart Stout, founded the nonprofit to raise money to help families battling life-threatening diseases. The black-tie event had a jungle theme and included a reception, dinner, silent auction and dancing. Hope Stout captured the hearts of the famous and the ordinary before she died of cancer at age 12 in 2004, because instead of focusing on her own illness, she raised more than $1 million to help 155 kids on the Make-A-Wish foundationÕs waiting list have their wishes granted.
