Charlotte-based Home Management to merge with Wilmington firm

Charlotte-based Home Management and Wilmington-based Community Association Management Specialists said Wednesday they plan to merge.

The merger of the two homeowner association management companies is expected to take effect April 1.

“We are excited to join forces with Home Management and the opportunity to manage many of Charlotte’s premier associations,” Mike Stonestreet, CAMS president, said in a press release.

Home Management began managing homeowner, condominium and townhome associations in Greater Charlotte in 2010, according to the release.

Stonestreet formed CAMS in 1991, according to the company’s website. It manages roughly 50 associations in the Charlotte region, where it also has offices, the press release said.
