Gastonia police seek counterfeiting suspect

GASTONIA Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly passed counterfeit money last month at a store.

Police say the man gave a clerk a phony $50 bill to pay for groceries at the Sav A Lot food store, 814 West Franklin Blvd.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Gastonia police Det. Scott McClure, at 704-866-6975. Or information can be left with Crime Stoppers, 704-861-8000.
