Carolina PR announces merger with Columbia firm

Carolina Public Relations announced a merger Monday with Columbia-based Chernoff Newman, giving the combined company a widespread footprint in the Southeast.

Adam Bernstein and Louise Dixon, Carolina PR’s principals, will become part of the ownership group of the firm, and Sig Huitt, a founding partner of Carolina PR, will remain a senior counselor. Carolina PR, founded in 1983, will operate under its current name from its East Morehead Street office in Charlotte.

Under the merger, the combined marketing and communications agency will have offices in Columbia, Charlotte, Charleston and Orlando, Fla. “Joining Chernoff Newman expands the breadth and depth of strategic communication counsel and creative services that we can deliver,” Bernstein said in a statement.
