Matchup to Watch

Kemba Walker vs. Michael Carter-Williams: Carter-Williams is the likely NBA Rookie of the Year, which is one of the few positives that will come out of this awful 76ers season.

Observations

• After the 76ers basically gifted center Spencer Hawes to Cleveland at the trade deadline, journeyman Henry Sims ended up as Philadelphia’s starter at the position. He was with the Bobcats’ summer-league team before signing with the Cavaliers.

• The Sixers’ blowout of the Detroit Pistons on Saturday ended Philadelphia’s 26-game losing streak. Their previous victory was Jan. 29 at Boston.

Tap-ins

• The 76ers have won their last six games against the Bobcats in Philadelphia. The Sixers won 95-92 over the Bobcats on Jan. 15.

• Bobcats rookie Cody Zeller scored a career-high 15 points and added eight rebounds in the comeback victory Monday over the Washington Wizards.
