One man was injured Friday morning in a drive-by shooting in north Charlotte, police said.

The incident was reported about 4:30 a.m. at the Raceway convenience store on Sugar Creek Road, not far from Interstate 85.

Police said soneone drove along Sugar Creek Road and began shooting. The victim was struck twice, including once in the abdomen. The victim was taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center, police said.

Officers are investigating.
