Vigil tonight for Lincolnton violence victim

A candlelight vigil is planned Friday evening in Lincolnton for the victim of an alleged domestic violence death last week.

The Lincoln County Coalition against Domestic Violence has scheduled the vigil, planned for 8:30 p.m. on the lawn at the Lincoln County Courthouse.

The event is in memory of Tara Osburn. Authorities said she was killed by her estranged husband, Anthony Ray Osburn, at Tara Osburn’s Lincoln County home last week. Deputies said Anthony Osburn later got into a shootout with authorities and was killed.
