Rain forces Duck Commander 500 to be postponed until Monday

FORT WORTH, Texas Ducks like water. NASCAR does not.

Due to persistent rain showers and cold temperatures which hampered track drying efforts, Sunday's Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway has been postponed until noon Monday.

The race will be shown live on Fox.

Rain tapered off late Sunday but cold temperatures and persistent "weepers" - water seeping up from underneath the track - led to the postponement by NASCAR.

When the race begins on Monday, Tony Stewart will start on the pole. There have been six different winners in the first

This is the fifth time in seven NASCAR race weekends, rain has altered some part of the weekend schedule.
