Mint Museum Senior Curator of Craft, Design and Fashion Annie Carlano looks at “Carolina Bouquet Botanical,” a 2001 crafted glass sculptural paperweight (floral arrangement captured in glass) by Paul Stankard.

Dresses, fabrics, ceramics and jewelry highlight Mint Museum Uptown’s exhibition “Allure of Flowers: Botanical Motifs in Craft, Design, & Fashion.”

The show features works from the mid-19th century to today and illustrates the evolution of floral ornament in modern and contemporary applied art.
