CMPD seeks Bojangles robbery suspects

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are trying to identify two men who robbed a Bojangles employee at closing time Monday night.

The robbery took place shortly after 11:45 p.m. at the Bojangles restaurant in the 5800 block of Highland Shoppes Drive, off Loganville Drive near the Highland Creek area.

Police say the employee had closed the business and was sitting in his car when he was approached by two men who robbed him of his cell phone and then forced him back into the restaurant. Investigators said the men were unable to find any money and then ran off.

Police said the first suspect was a black male with long dreads that were pulled back behind his head. He was wearing black clothes and had a cloth mask over his face.

The second suspect was described as a black male who was heavy-set. He had dreads and wore long khaki cargo shorts and a black shirt.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers, 704-334-1600.
