FBI agents have arrested the second of two additional suspects named last week in the kidnapping of a Raleigh-area man whose daughter is a Wake County prosecutor.
Officials said Jakym Tibbs was taken into custody shortly before 7 a.m. Monday at a home in Harrisburg, Pa. Agents from the FBI’s Philadelphia office made the arrest.
Tibbs, 20, and Quantavious Thompson, 18, were named early last week as additional suspects in the kidnapping of Frank Janssen from his home in Wake Forest. Federal authorities said they believe the kidnapping was carried out by a group of people on behalf of a prison inmate who had been prosecuted by Janssen’s daughter, an assistant district attorney in Wake County.
Thompson was taken into custody last Wednesday afternoon at a residence in Decatur, Ga.
Janssen was kidnapped April 5 and then freed by federal agents April 9 from a residence near Atlanta.
Six people were arrested earlier in the case, the FBI said.
