A passenger was injured in this wreck Monday morning at Westinghouse Blvd. at Steele Creek Road.

The biggest problem for Charlotte-area motorists at 9:45 a.m. Monday is on Rea Road in southeast Charlotte.

Police report a natural gas line has been ruptured on Rea Road at Colony Road. That is an area where construction has been under way.

Motorists will need to find alternate routes for the next 30 to 60 minutes.

Earlier traffic problems from the morning commute have been cleared.

That includes a collision on Steele Creek Road at Westinghouse Boulevard. A driver hit a power pole, but the pole was not knocked down and all lanes remained open. The driver suffered minor injuries.
