The White House Correspondents Dinner (CNN, CSPAN, MSNBC) - This broadcast is always good for a few laughs. It’s headlined this year by Joel McHale, star of NBC’s “Community” but also the sarcastic host of “The Soup,” the weekly show on the E! network that makes fun of clips from reality shows, talk shows and other pop culture miscellanea. But it’s very often the case that President Barack Obama’s speech is funnier than that of the invited comedian. It airs from 6-11 p.m. on CSPAN, 8-11 p.m. on CNN and 9-11 p.m. on MSNBC.
A Daughter’s Nightmare (8pm, Lifetime) - A mother suspects a mysterious man of having something to do with the death of her husband and her daughter’s failing health.
My Cat From Hell (8pm, Animal Planet) - Jackson Galaxy helps a cat who gets night terrors (poor kitty!), a behavior which is dividing its newlyweds owners.
Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet (9pm, Nat Geo Wild) - Dr. Oakley treats a young reindeer with a hernia, a cat with diabetes and a dog with an ailing bum.
Orphan Black (9pm, BBC America) - Sarah turns to an old flame from her past as she hits the road with Felix, but their brief respite is brutally shattered. Sarah then realizes that no matter how far she runs, it will never be far enough.
Saturday Night Live (11:30pm, NBC) - Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man!) hots, with musical guest Coldplay.
