3 from Charlotte area win Benjamin Duke scholarships

Three high school seniors from the Charlotte region are among this year’s winners of the Benjamin N. Duke Memorial Scholarship at Duke University.

The scholarship pays for the entire four-year education at Duke and carries an estimated value of $240,000.

The Charlotte-area winners this year are: Jack Alexander Bradford, of North Mecklenburg High, son of Kim and Scott Bradford; Taylor Jacqueline Panzer, of Hickory High, daughter of Pam and Dr. David Panzer; and Shubham R. Patel, of Mount Pleasant High, son of Rita and Rhoit Patel.
