By Steve Lyttle

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police identified the woman killed in a head-on collision Wednesday as 56-year-old Debra Sue Oehmke. Oehmke was driving a 2013 Volkswagen Passat that was struck by a 2009 Honda Accord on Steele Creek Road in southwest Charlotte. Police said Trungquan Tran’s car crossed the center line and struck Oehmke’s car. Investigators said they believe Tran fell asleep. Tran, 23, was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
