Guest star and executive producer Steve Carell (L) and Brian Palmero (R) in the series premiere of “Riot” airing on Fox.

Riot (9pm, Fox) - In the premiere of this new reality series, Steve Carell and Andy Buckley, both of “The Office,” participate in song, dance and sketch challenges, at times facing a set tilted at a 22-degree angle. Carell is the executive producer of the show. Some of the players this season include Jason Alexander and Cheryl Hines.

Also on tonight . . .

Glee (8pm, Fox) - In the Season 5 finale, Rachel meets an eccentric TV writer, while Sam and Mercedes move forward in their careers. Also, Blaine performs with June Dolloway at NYADA.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD (8pm, ABC) - In the Season 1 finale, the battle against Garrett and Hydra comes to a climax and dark secrets are exposed.

Frontline (9pm, UNC-TV) - The first of a two-part series examining the U.S. government’s controversial surveillance program. Part 2 of “The United States of Secrets” airs on May 20.

Trophy Wife (9:30pm, ABC) - The Season 1 finale – nope, make that series finale ( excuse my tears!) – has Kate uncovering a hidden agenda after Diane and Jackie offer to let her have the kids on Mother’s Day.

Chicago Fire (10pm, NBC) - A fire breaks out at a boarding school in the Season 2 finale, and Severide questions himself in the tragic aftermath of the blaze. Elsewhere, Dawson retakes the fireman’s exam, with some political help from Ccasey.

Other season finales taking place tonight: “ NCIS” (8, CBS), “ The Originals” (8, The CW), “ NCIS: LA” (9, CBS), “ The Goldbergs” (9, ABC) and “ Person of Interest” (10, CBS).
