What to Watch on Wednesday: Finales of ‘Idol,’ ‘Modern Family’ ‘The Americans’ and more

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - The winner is named tonight. Will it be Caleb Johnson from Asheville? Or Jena Irene from somewhere not North Carolina? We’ll find out after performances from Lady Antebellum, Kiss, Jason Mraz, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Darius Rucker and others.

Survivor: Cagayan (8pm, CBS) - First, a two-hour finale in which the four remaining castaways are reduced to three, and then the jurors vote for the winner. The winner will be revealed in a reunion special that airs at 10 p.m.

Revolution (8pm, NBC) - In the series finale, Miles’ crew plan an attack on the Patriots, but then they’re forced to improvise because of a war between other parties. Meanwhile, Neville goes after President Davis, and Aaron and Rachel try to save Priscilla. My wish for you “Revolution” fans is closure…

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - In the conclusion of the Season 5 finale, the chaos of Mitchell and Cameron’s wedding continues as the grooms grow more discouraged.

The Americans (10pm, FX) - In a stunning Season 2 finale, Philip and Elizabeth learn more about Jared’s family while helping the teenager elude danger, and more about the KGB’s big picture plans for them.

Motive (10pm, ABC) - In the Season 2 premiere of this Canadian cop series, Angie and Vega investigate a possible suicide, while former undercover detective Mark Cross takes over as the department’s new commander.

Other finales tonight:The Middle” has a one-hour finale (8pm, ABC), “ L&O: SVU” (9pm, NBC) and “ Chicago PD” (10pm, NBC),
