What’s open, closed for Memorial Day

While trash service will remain on a normal schedule next week, many other things will not. Here’s how the following institutions will observe Memorial Day on Monday:

Federal offices: Closed.

N.C., S.C. state offices: Closed.

Charlotte city offices: Closed.

Mecklenburg County offices: Closed.

Mecklenburg County courts: Closed.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools: Closed.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library: Closed.

County Park and Rec: Offices, rec centers and Marion Diehl Pool closed. Outdoor pools, Ray’s Splash Planet and the county aquatic center will be open with special hours.

Banks: Closed.

Buses, light rail: Open. CATS will operate on the Sunday schedule.

Mecklenburg County Solid Waste: Offices and facilities closed. Compost Central open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Garbage pickup: Normal schedule.

Mecklenburg ABC stores: Closed.

FedEx: Closed. FedEx Custom Critical available.

UPS: Closed. UPS Express Critical available.

U.S. Postal Service: Closed.
