A crash before daybreak Thursday has left part of Glenwood Drive closed in west Charlotte.
The collision with injuries was near the Tuckaseegee Road intersection. Emergency crews have cleared the wreck, but there are low-hanging power lines. That means Glenwood Drive is closed in the area until Duke Energy can finish repairs. The closure is between I-85 and Tuckaseegee Road.
The other big problem for Charlotte-area motorists at 9:40 a.m. Thursday is on northbound Interstate 77 in Huntersville. A wreck at Exit 23 (Gilead Road) is slowing traffic for more than 2 miles.

I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Providence Road to I-77.
Carmel Road at Pineville-Matthews Road ... Collision; moderate delays.
Randolph Road at Sharon-Amity Road ... Collision; moderate delays.
I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Carowinds Boulevard up to Clanton Road.
U.S. 321, Gaston County ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph in each direction between I-85 and Dallas-Cherryville Highway.
Glenwood Drive near Tuckaseegee Road ... Earlier crash left low-hanging power lines; road closed.
Wilkinson Boulevard at Boyer Street ... Collision; moderate delays.
New Town Road at Potter Road South, near Wesley Chapel ... Collision with injuries; moderate delays.
