The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office says it is asking the public’s help in finding a registered sex offender who allegedly moved without contacting authorities.

Robert Michael Redfear Jr., 45, was last known to be living at a residence in the 500 block of North Church Street in Mooresville, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators said Redfear was living at the address when deputies checked in February. But he was not there when deputies made a recent check, and residents told investigators that he moved away. Deputies checked the residence several times, to make sure that Redfear was gone, and then obtained an arrest warrant.

Anyone with information on Redfear’s whereabouts is asked to call 911, or contact either Crime Stoppers, 704-662-1340, or the sheriff’s office, 704-878-3180.
