Charles Iacovou will become dean of the Wake Forest University School of Business on July 1, the school announced Monday.

Iacovou will oversee the business school on the Charlotte and Winston-Salem campuses. Iacovou joined Wake Forest in 2001. In 2007 he joined the School of Business’ leadership team, where he served in a number of senior administrative roles, including director of the full-time MBA program.

He replaces Steve Reinemund, who announced in January he was stepping down at the end of the academic year. Reinemund, who retired as chairman of PepsiCo in 2007, joined Wake Forest in 2008. He’ll remain as Executive-in-Residence, where he will teach classes and network with students.
