CMPD charge detective with falsifying time sheets

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department detective has been charged with falsifying her city time sheets, authorities said Thursday.

Nyvia Keene was arrested and charged with one count of obtaining property by false pretense, police said. She was hired on Jan. 22, 2007, and assigned to the North Tryon Division. Police said Keene was placed on unpaid administrative leave pending a criminal and internal investigation. Joe DePriest
