2 robberies within 10 minutes near Fort Mill

By Steve Lyttle

York County, S.C., authorities were on the lookout for a man who apparently robbed two convenience stores within a 10-minute period early Friday.

The first robbery was reported shortly before 3:40 a.m. at a Sunoco gas station and store on S.C. 160. The second robbery was shortly before 3:50 a.m. at the Times Turnaround store in the 1000 block of Carolina Place.

The York County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect in the two robberies was described as a black male wearing a long-sleeve black shirt, grey pants and a red hat. The man was wearing a red bandana over his face, investigators said, and he had a red bandana over his right hand, which held a gun. Steve Lyttle
