Longmire (10pm, A&E) - If you’re looking for a good show to take on where the catch-up wouldn’t be too time-consuming (10 episodes in the first season and 13 in the second), this should be high on your list. Based on a set of mystery novels by Craig Johnson, this modern western crime drama follows Walt Longmire ( Robert Taylor), sheriff of a small town in Wyoming, as he adjusts to life and work after the death of his wife. The third season starts tonight, with Walt dealing with the aftermath of his friend Henry’s arrest and the shooting of his deputy, Branch. In fact, in honor of the season premiere, I’m giving away a couple of Craig Johnson’s books. If you’d like “A Serpent’s Tooth” or “Any Other Name” (both in the Longmire series), email me at firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on Tuesday (June 3), and I’ll do a random drawing. Specify which book you’re interested in and include your mailing address.
Louie (10pm, FX) - In tonight’s episodes, Louie succumbs to Mother Nature and later, is on the rebound.
Ladies of London (10pm, Bravo) - A new reality series tracing the dramas of British socialites and American transplants living in England.
Mistresses (10pm, ABC) - Yes, I know. I can’t believe this got a second season, either. But it did, and tonight’s the opener. Savi finds a new lease on life after her brush with death, while Karen struggles to overcome some setbacks and Joss becomes a party planner.
