French design firm to come to Charlotte, hire 40 people over three years

Team Créatif announced Tuesday that its U.S. headquarters will soon open in uptown Charlotte.

Over the next three years, the French design firm plans to hire 40 people, according to Terri DeBoo, who is working as a consultant for Team Créatif. She says these jobs will primarily be in design and marketing and will range in pay from $50,000 to $100,000. Three people from the Charlotte area have already been hired, says DeBoo.

The office will occupy 3,000 square feet in uptown Charlotte, though Team Créatif will not disclose the exact location until the lease is finalized. DeBoo says the company expects to know the final location this Friday.

According to an announcement, Team Créatif is the largest privately owned design firm in France and currently employs 235 people in France, Brazil and Indonesia. The company has represented clients such as Mars Inc., Dannon, Whiskas and Pedigree, as well as many other food and household items popular overseas.

In a written statement, Team Créatif attributes the decision to open in Charlotte to the city’s “vibrant and international flair and the great creative talent pool in the area.” DeBoo says the company plans to open in August.
