Easterling, 90 yrs., of Charlotte, NC is a WW II pilot having given support to Patton's 3rd Army across France by destroying enemy supply routes, gun emplacements, barges, trains, ammo depots, bridges and other military targets. Easterling later became a POW being captured by S.S. Troops. He was awarded the Purple Heart, six Air Medals, the E.T.O. ribbon with three battle stars.
