The 80-year-old Charlotte man who has been missing since Wednesday was found dead on Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Foul play is not suspected in the death of Armando Alvarez, who Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said was last seen at his home on Dunn Commons Parkway, near Brookshire Boulevard and Rozzelles Ferry Road, on Wednesday evening.

Alvarez had dementia and his family asked for the community’s help with finding him around the Northlake area. Charlotte Fire Department said Alavarez was found 30 minutes into Saturday’s search.
