    10. Davidson ... 6.8 percent

    Other findings from the survey:

    • 45 percent of the Charlotte area’s members are female (average age, 37)

    • Members from the Ballantyne area have the most affair partners

    • Waxhaw-area members have the most children.

An online dating service that caters to people already in relationships says Huntersville leads its rankings of the “most unfaithful neighborhoods” in the Charlotte area.

The rankings are based on percentage of membership from respective ZIP codes in the region, according to AshleyMadison.

AshleyMadison said 65,400 of its 21 million members are from the Charlotte metropolitan area, with 9.1 percent of those members from Huntersville.

Following in second and third, respectively, are Ballantyne (8.9 percent) and uptown (8.8 percent).

Noel Biderman, founder and CEO of the online dating service, said affluence is a common element on most cities’ top 10 lists. “The proclivity to cheat often goes hand in hand with opportunity,” he said. “Those with discretionary income and freedom are even more likely to stray.”
