No injuries were reported when fire damaged a house Tuesday morning in north Charlotte.

The blaze was reported about 10 a.m. in the 8400 block of Cavett Court. That is off DeArmon Road, between Loganville and Browne roads.

According to initial reports, several people called 911 to report the house was on fire. Charlotte fire officials said they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure when they arrived.

Officials said it took a crew of 26 firefighters about 20 minutes to subdue the blaze. The American Red Cross is caring for seven residents displaced by the fire.
