Friends and family of missing Guilford County Schools teacher Bianca Tanner insisted Wednesday that people refer to her in the present tense, not the past.
She is funny.
She is pursuing a doctorate.
She loves her job. She loves her students. She sometimes dances with them. And she wants them to be just as smart as she is.
A crowd that included Tanners parents, students, fellow teachers and others whove kept vigil since she disappeared pinned on gold and leopard skin ribbons and gathered around the Reflection Pool at N.C. A&T State University on Wednesday to show their support and pray that she will be found.
Tanner, 31, a graduate of N.C. A&T, was last seen on the evening of June 7. Her boyfriend, Angelo Grayson Smith Jr., told investigators that she had left their apartment in Charlotte after an argument.
Her family said Wednesdays outpouring of support offered some solace.
Were just taking it day by day. Its just really hard, her sister Cerise Richardson told those assembled. But seeing all of your faces coming out tonight really does provide comfort during this difficult time. Tonight, were just praying for her return.
