Today’s traffic: Slow spots scattered in area

There are no major traffic problems in the Charlotte region at 8:25 a.m. Monday, but motorists are contending with a number of smaller-scale headaches.

Congestion is now a problem on I-485’s inner loop and southbound I-77 in the Lake Norman area.

And several collisions are slowing traffic on routes such as Albemarle Road, Gilead Road, South Boulevard and Central Avenue.

Here is the 8:25 a.m. update:

The closure is due to construction on the trolley project.
