Video: Fireworks shot with a drone

Charlotte Observer staff

A man in West Palm Beach, Fla., filmed the city's fireworks display from the inside using a drone.

YouTube user Jos Stiglingh uploaded the four-minute video and says he filmed it, "flying through a firework show with a DJI Phantom 2 and filming it with a GoPro Hero 3 silver."

Though the results are beautiful, the filming is controversial. The drone posed a risk to spectators, and flying one through a fireworks display is illegal, authorities told the New York Daily News.
