Early voting continues for Iredell County primary runoffs

Early voting continues in Iredell County through Saturday for the July 15 Republican second primary for county Clerk of Superior Court and the July 15 Democratic second primary for a Statesville area U.S. House seat.

Incumbent Jim Mixson faces challenger Ron “Duck” Wyatt in the Clerk of Superior Court GOP runoff.

Gardenia Henley faces Joshua Brannon in the second Democratic primary for District 5 U.S. House.

The House district includes Statesville precincts 1-6, Turnersburg, Union Grove, Chambersburg A, part of Chambersburg B, Cool Spring, Eagle Mills and New Hope.

Early voting is 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Iredell County Board of Elections, 203 Stockton St., Statesville. The office is one block from the Iredell County Courthouse and Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

All polling places countywide will be open 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. July 15 for the county Clerk of Superior Court GOP runoff.
