Local, county and federal agents arrested a woman Thursday on a robbery charge, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.
Meredith Leigh Michaux, 25, of Morganton was taken into custody by Lenoir police, sheriff’s deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service at a residence in Lenoir. She was jailed in Caldwell County under $201,000 bond, authorities said.
Michaux was wanted on robbery charges from Burke County. She had been placed recently on the Burke County Sheriff’s Office most-wanted list.
Caldwell County authorities said a tip led them to a residence in the 100 block of Forest Hill Drive in Lenoir. Michaux was taken into custody without incident, authorities said, and agents reported finding a “large amount of crack cocaine” and a firearm.
She was served with warrants for robbery with a dangerous weapon, trafficking in cocaine and hit-and-run property damage, authorities said.
