No injuries in southwest Charlotte truck leak

No injuries were reported Thursday morning when Hazmat crews were called to deal with a possible chemical leak at a plant in southwest Charlotte.

The incident was reported about 10:45 a.m. at a plant in the 3300 block of Westinghouse Boulevard. According to initial reports, some type of chemical was reported to be leaking from a truck parked nearby.

Charlotte fire officials said more than 40 firefighters were called to the scene. It took them about 80 minutes to bring the situation under control, officials said.
