MLL preview: Charlotte Hounds at Ohio Machine

Charlotte Hounds (4-6) at Ohio Machine (4-6)

7 p.m., Selby Stadium, Delaware, Ohio

TV: CBS Sports Network

After a two-week break, the Hounds head into the homestretch of the 2014 Major League Lacrosse season with three of their final four games on the road, including Saturday’s matchup with the Machine. … Charlotte and Ohio are tied for fifth in the league standings along with the Florida Launch. The Hounds would need to win three of their last four to have a chance at making the playoffs. … Charlotte is 4-1 all-time against the Machine, but the blemish came in the Hounds’ season opener, a 15-8 loss at Memorial Stadium. … Charlotte is the only MLL team that has not won a road game (0-4). … The Machine will be without two of its leading scorers Saturday. Marcus Holman (22 goals) and Kyle Harrison (21 goals) are playing for the U.S. National Team in the 2014 FIL World Championships, which conclude Saturday in Denver. The Hounds are missing only one player of note – faceoff specialist Geoff Snider, who is playing for Canada.
