Four people now face charges in connection with the with the shooting death last month of a north Charlotte man, police said.

Two men and a woman were arrested early Saturday. A fourth was arrested on an unrelated charge Saturday evening and later implicated by authorities in the killing.

The four face charges in the death of Terrance Johnson, 28, who was found shot at an apartment complex in the 4500 block of Wynbrook Way, near North Graham Street and Interstate 85.

At the time of Johnson’s death, police said the shooting followed some type of fight between the victim and several other people. They also said the shooting was not considered random.

Investigators did not say what started the altercation, but the suspects arrested Saturday were charged with robbery.

All four suspects were charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Authorities identified the first three suspects arrested as Eddrick Damon Davis, 29; Ashley Renee Holbert, 26; and Montez Maurice Hancock, 23. All three are from Charlotte.

The fourth person arrested was identified as Orlando Rashad Thomas, 26.

Mecklenburg County jail records show this is the first arrest for Holbert and Hancock. Davis was convicted in 2011 of violation of a protection order and in 2013 for possession of stolen goods. He served about a year in prison but was released on probation in early 2014.

The investigation is continuing, and police ask anyone with information in the case to contact detectives at 704-432-TIPS. Or information can be left with Crime Stoppers, 704-334-1600.
