Southern with a Twist

The Mason Jar

Tee-tiny mason jars serve up neat bourbon—anything but cutesy—with a play on the Southern ritual of burying the bottle at the wedding site a month in advance to ward off stormy weather. You don’t need to literally “bury the bottle” for a fun interpretation of this Dixie tradition.

The Seersucker

This classically prepster fabric can add more than a pop on the bow ties or a splash on the napkin. A seersucker backdrop adds soft texture and cheerful color to this clean, modern cake design.

The Monogram

Nothing says Southern bride quite like a newly minted monogram. An oversized, artistic display presents this tradition atop an assortment of sweets, with a sentimental edge—incorporate your parents’ and grandparents’ initials too for a family nod!

The Silhouette

Magic by multiplication. The classic, Southern silhouette makes an appearance in ‘rustic’ wood, as does this hand-made guestbook, but the repeating pattern lends a modern edge.

The Look

This champagne Alvina Valenta stunner offers Southern style with a few glam surprises, like the lace trimmed, deep V sweetheart neckline or the five-tiered—that’s right, five!—luscious train.

The Lace

Integrating multiple lace patterns into your décor keep the look fresh—never stuffy. One part whimsical and one part grandma-chic, this sweetheart table is perfect for cozying up to your new hubby.
